Each year, faculty and staff at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) are invited to nominate students who have shown exceptional leadership and a sustained commitment to improving the SAIC community for the distinguished honor of the Student Leadership Award. 

The department of Campus Life hosts a dinner in late April for the nominees, and wanted something unique for 2015. In order to accomplish this, a custom typeface based on Pistilli Roman was created to give everything a fun, yet classic overtone. A pattern was also created using the current year – 2015. This was used in the backgrounds to add meaningful dimension and keep the design from getting too flat. Finally, to add a completely unique tactile sensation, we printed everything on Yupo paper.
